Boozhoo, Waabankatook nindizhinikaaz. Migisi indoodem. Couchiching nindooji. My English name is Melissa and I am a Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Canadian Counsellor. I’ve been in the field working with youth, teens, adults, and elders since 2012. I worked in the non-profit sector for many years and now work in a leadership role at an Indigenous organization.
 
My approach is laid back, client-centered, trauma-focused, and directive when needed. I am not an expert by no means and I believe that each person already has the answers they are searching for. My job is to help you on your healing journey and walk along-side you.
 
My areas of interest in include Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Grief. I utilize Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused, and EMDR to support my clients’ needs.
