Melissa Calder (she/her)

Boozhoo, Waabankatook nindizhinikaaz. Migisi indoodem. Couchiching nindooji. My English name is Melissa, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Canadian Counsellor. Since 2012, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages—from youth and teens to adults and elders—and I currently serve in a leadership role at an Indigenous organization.

I approach therapy in a relaxed, client-centered way, and I’m here to walk alongside you on your healing journey. While I bring my experience and tools to our work together, I don’t see myself as the expert. I believe that you already have the answers within you, and my role is to help you uncover and access those answers, guiding you through the process at your pace.

I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, and grief. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, and EMDR, to tailor my approach to your unique needs and help you find the support and healing you deserve.
