Bonjour, je m'appelle Jess!
With over 20 years of professional experience in mental health, social work, and education, I am deeply committed to supporting individuals and collective wellbeing. My work has focused mostly on supporting the health and wellbeing of women and children, with a particular interest in trauma-informed care and creating spaces where healing, resilience, and growth are possible.
I bring both professional expertise and a human-centered approach to everything I do - valuing connection, empathy, and lifelong learning. I'm passionate about building stronger communities and contributing to meaningful, lasting change.
I am a Registered Social Worker and French-speaking therapist. I look forward to expanding my skills and experience as a therapist during my practicum with NWOCC. I am thrilled to be spending some time back in Fort Frances, offering in-person services for part of my practicum.
Outside of my professional life, I find joy in music, long walks in nature, cooking, and spending time with my kids, friends and family. I'm also an avid writer and learner, always curious about life and the many ways we grow through it. Oh - and I also love cats … have 2 of them!
Fun fact: I can turn almost any life situation into a reflective journal entry … sometimes before it's even finished happening.
