Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) for First Nations and Inuit People

At NWOCC, we believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality mental health support, regardless of your financial situation. That’s why we are proud to offer Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) for First Nations and Inuit people.

If you have a valid status card, you are eligible for up to 22 therapy sessions per year at no cost to you. This benefit ensures that you can access the care you need without worrying about the financial strain that can often come with mental health services.

But what if you need more than 22 sessions? At NWOCC, we make it easy for you. If additional sessions are required, we can apply on your behalf to extend your coverage. Our team is experienced in navigating the NIHB system and has a high success rate in securing approval for more sessions, ensuring that you don’t have to go without the care you need.

We understand how difficult it can be to access services, especially for those living in remote and rural communities. Part of our mission at NWOCC is to break down barriers to mental health care for individuals in Treaty 3 and surrounding areas. We are passionate about reaching out to First Nations communities, providing therapy services in areas where access to mental health care can often be limited.

As an added benefit, we offer direct billing to NIHB, which means you don’t need to worry about any paperwork or upfront costs. We handle the billing process on your behalf, making it as simple and stress-free as possible.

We are committed to making mental health care accessible to all, no matter where you live. Contact us today to learn how we can support you with the services you deserve.
