My name is Maggie and I am a born and raised Fort Francian. I attended Trent University and the University of Windsor, obtaining my Bachelors and Masters Degree in Social Work. While in Windsor, I was lucky enough to complete my placement at a children’s mental health agency. I fell in love with the field of mental health and knew instinctively that this was the work I wanted to do.The modalities that I currently love and use frequently in my practice are child-centered play therapy, sandtray therapy, theraplay, and EMDR.

‍

When working with clients, my main goal is to create a safe and non-judgemental space. I aim to meet each client where they are and work at their pace. When clients leave my session, I hope that they feel supported and comfortable being themselves.

‍

Sessions with my clients can look very different depending on the age I am working with! With younger clients, I like to involve a lot of play and engaging activities. With older clients, things typically look more relaxed and come from a strength-based approach. In all of my sessions, I aim to create a safe, supportive environment without pressure or judgement. If you think we could be a good fit, please reach out!
