Psychological Assessments at NWOCC

Do you ever feel like something’s just not quite right, but can’t put your finger on it?

Struggling with ADHD symptoms or mental health challenges without understanding why can leave you feeling stuck, frustrated, and unsure of where to turn. Maybe you’ve been searching for answers, but the process feels overwhelming, and the wait times are long.

At NWOCC, we can help. Our assessments are designed to give you clarity, understanding, and direction so you can move forward with confidence.

Adult Assessments

Our Adult ADHD and Comprehensive Mental Health Assessments help uncover what’s really going on beneath the surface. Whether you’re struggling to focus, manage emotions, or just feel like something’s off, our in-house Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Janelle Steckley, will work with you to understand your unique experiences.
We now also offer Adult Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Assessments, designed for individuals who may identify with traits of autism but have never had the opportunity for formal evaluation. Our goal is to help you understand yourself better: your strengths, challenges, and how your brain processes the world.
Through a personalized, compassionate approach, you’ll receive:
  • A thorough clinical interview and behavioral observation
  • Evidence-based psychometric testing
  • A comprehensive written report
  • Practical recommendations for treatment and support
We know how valuable your time is, which is why we offer short wait times and fully virtual assessment options.

Children’s Assessments

With Dr. Kerris Oates (Clinical Psychologist) and Psychometrist Davin Iverson
Our Children’s Psychological Assessments are designed to help families understand their child’s learning, behavior, and emotional needs. These assessments are fully virtual, providing flexibility and accessibility for families across Northwestern Ontario.
We offer evaluations for:
  • ADHD and Attention Difficulties
  • Learning Disabilities and Psychoeducational Needs
  • Mental Health Concerns such as anxiety or mood difficulties
  • Developmental Assessments
Every assessment includes interviews with caregivers, standardized testing, and a detailed feedback session with recommendations tailored to your child’s needs, both at home and at school.
With our strengths-based, anti-oppressive approach, you can trust that your child will be treated with empathy, respect, and understanding.
