Victoria Smith (she/her)

My name is Victoria Smith and I’m a Registered Social Worker.  I’ve been in the field for over 17 years.  I worked in the non-profit children’s mental health sector for many years first as a Home-based Family Support Worker and then as an Intake Clinician and Brief Therapist. After several years I branched out and started to provide individual therapy as well and as of a few years ago I moved solely into working in private practice supporting children, youth, parents, families and adult individuals.

My approach is laid back (not too business like), client centered, solution focused, and directive when needed.  I like to relate to my clients on a person-to-person level, not expert to client.  I believe you know yourself best and you have many of the answers already that you are seeking.  I am here to help draw them out of you.  And when you can’t quite find the answer I have tons of ideas and suggestions if you want them!

My areas of interest include ADHD, ASD, Anxiety, Depression, Children’s Mental Health, Trauma, and I often use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Brainspotting to support my clients’ needs.

If you feel we could be a good fit, please reach out today to schedule a free 15-minute consultation!
