Hello, my name is Keira Govier, and I’m currently an Honours Bachelor of Social Work Student at Lakehead University, excited to be in my final year and completing my 4th-year placement at NWOCC.

When working together, my focus will be on your unique needs and resources. I believe in creating a safe, warm, and welcoming space where you feel comfortable to share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. My approach is client-centered, which means I will help you draw on your existing strengths as we work together to address any challenges you’re facing and move toward your personal goals. Above all, I believe that the relationship between us is key—my goal is to make sure you feel heard, cared for, and understood throughout our work together.

I am passionate about supporting individuals with Anxiety and Depression. I work with clients aged 18+ who are ready and eager to grow and make positive changes. I have started the Affordable Counselling Program at NWOCC, and I invite you to learn more about this program to see if it might be a good fit for you!
